Zoi is a multidisciplinary artistic experimentation through the human condition and its varying emotional states. It started in 2016 as a photographic project, when I traveled the world asking women of different nationalities how did they feel with their hearts at the moment.  Within each emotional state, a different concept was created with the only constant of having the heart representing the grotesque as a category of beauty. The intention of this project was to ask if feelings were objectively intrinsic to the human no matter any socio- economic- racial- cultural condition. 
Looking at the final photographs I discovered certain patterns in them, which resulted in eight categories of intrinsic emotional states. With these categories a video art was made in which emotional states were interpreted through different artistic fields such as writing, cinematography, textile design, art design, dance and music.
The answer to whether these emotional states shared by the photographed women are universal and intrinsic to the human being, lies with the viewer. Deeper from the skin, we are all the same: muscles, organs, emotions and essence.
